Category Moderator

A category moderator is a member who moderates an entire category. Their role differs from that of a Moderator and Section Moderator, in that they focus more on building communities, interacting with other members, and working with local and section moderators. Category moderators may carry out traditional moderator functions within forums that lack a local or section moderator. Due to their first-hand experience in working with the relevant communities, they take a more active role in the selection of moderators within their category. They can be identified by the tag category mod.
